The Usource energy consulting team consists of senior-level energy advisors with broad experience in energy analytics, energy management, energy procurement, renewable energy, sustainability planning and more. Our team is built from energy and renewables veterans with expertise that spans across retail and wholesale power markets, structuring and negotiating energy contracts, and myriad behind-the-meter technologies and services. We’ve been delivering sophisticated energy advisory services for more than 20 years.
Leadership
Scott has more than three decades of experience in the energy industry. He has extensive experience in strategy, consulting, and energy economics. Scott leads the development and execution of the Usource strategy and operations.
Prior to Usource, he was President of NiSource Retail Services for 9 years and held senior leadership roles in finance and strategy with NiSource, a Fortune 500 energy holding company. Prior to NiSource, Scott was consultant with Arthur D. Little and Global Insight.
He has a MS from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a BA in Economics from the University of New Hampshire.
Steve has more than 20 years of professional experience and is a seasoned energy and clean-tech executive with a foundation in consulting and analysis.
Prior to joining our team, he developed commercial solar projects for a national developer and later founded and built a commercial solar group for another. Steve has developed, financed and advised on commercial and industrial solar projects, primarily to private industry, municipalities, schools, agriculture, and water agencies.
Steve graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and earned an MS and MBA from the University of California at Berkeley.
Tom has 20+ years of experience in energy markets, including working for two of the largest energy suppliers on the East Coast, Hess and Sprague. Tom has extensive expertise in natural gas supply, interstate transportation, and electricity markets on both the wholesale and retail levels.
Over the last decade, Tom has managed all aspects of electric and natural gas procurement for large Usource commercial and industrial customers behind numerous utilities. along with facilitating the contracting of power purchase agreements for clients needing to achieve sustainability goal.
As the Senior Director of Procurement & Analysis, Tom manages supplier sourcing, pricing, and relationships, and serves as the lead technical resource both internally and for many of Usource’s clients. Tom has a BS in finance from Franklin Pierce College.
Ryan has more than 20 years of expertise in both wholesale and retail energy. Ryan manages all aspects of energy procurement for commercial, industrial, municipal and institutional clients.
In addition, Ryan plays a primary role in supplier management, sourcing, pricing and relationships in the PJM market. As a senior member of the team, he also serves as a senior resource both internally and for many large clients.
Ryan holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Akron and a BA in Business Administration from University of Mount Union.
With two decades of commercial, business development and analytical experience, Stephanie brings strategic and commercial leadership to the Usource team, with a focus on growing consulting, energy solutions, and software subscription revenue.
Stephanie's background includes significant roles in the oil and gas, renewables, and technology sectors, where she has demonstrated expertise in P&L leadership, product management, and corporate development, alongside management roles at GE Power, Generac, and NextEra Analytics.
Stephanie has a BA in International Business from Gustavus Adophus College and an MBA in Strategic Management & Public Policy from The George Washington University School of Business.
Dave brings almost 3 decades of leadership, energy engineering and energy project related experience to the team.
He has actively participated in the development and management of energy efficiency and renewable implementation projects in thousands of facilities totaling over $200 million in installation costs and over $300 million in energy/utility savings.
He is responsible for the teams behind the meter solar, CHP, and energy optimization initiatives which includes the design development and design build installation of our entire energy project portfolio. Dave has overseen the implementation of several EV charging and building electrification initiatives throughout his career. Dave has a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Maryland.
Jacqui leads our decarbonization and renewable advisory group as the Director of Clean Energy Consulting, bringing over 9 years of renewable energy and consulting experience to the team.
She enjoys working with companies to strategically find impactful sustainability solutions with a focus on cost and risk. Previously, she worked as the Manager of Environmental Commodities, supporting clients with grid scale renewable procurement and with purchasing over 1 million RECs and 5 million carbon offsets annually.
She began her career at a global consulting firm in the DC area supporting numerous federal agencies. Jacqui has her BA from Yale University and her MBA from Duke University.

As an Associate Energy and Renewables Consultant, Bella works to deliver tailored solutions that align with our clients’ energy strategies while driving progress toward a more sustainable future.
She comes to Usource with prior sales and analytic experience in the energy industry, providing her with a better understanding of the energy market and how to meet individual clients’ needs.
Bella is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, where she received a BS in Economics.
Ron has more than 20 years of experience in the deregulated energy market, including six years of key account experience with Rochester Gas and Electric.
Ron played an instrumental role in developing and growing Energetix, one of the first energy supply companies. His primary area of expertise is optimizing energy purchasing in a complicated deregulated market for large industrial and commercial customers.
As a Senior Energy Advisor, Ron leads an effective, professional team developing and implementing energy procurement plans consistent with client goals and objectives. He currently focuses on the New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Ohio markets.
Ron has a degree in electrical engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
With more than 37 years of experience in the utility and energy industries and 2 years in highway construction engineering and management, Mark has vast experience in working directly with and in managing large organizations that work with governmental, educational, healthcare, commercial, and industrial customers.
He has expertise in the areas of natural gas and electricity commodities and contracts, cogeneration, renewable energy, demand response, and electric and natural gas equipment technologies.
Mark holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
Brad has 2 decades of professional experience in budget driven solutions on both sides of the meter that includes a full suite of energy management solutions and projects to help clients create and deliver tailored turnkey holistic decarbonization and sustainability solutions ranging from LEDs to large scale renewables.
Before joining our team, Brad worked at an electric utility and then transitioned over to an energy consulting role for large commercial and industrial companies in the US. Brad’s journey then led him to be the North American project manager for mechanical systems for a retail grocer with an emphasis on energy efficiency and sustainability.
Brad is a CEM and CDSM and has a Master’s in Material Engineering and a Master’s in Electro-optical Engineering from the University of Dayton.
Erica has over 12 years of energy industry expertise in retail energy pricing and analytics, energy solutions, demand response operations and optimization sales for large, complex customers.
Erica graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a BS in Business.
Greg brings 37 years of versatile professional experience encompassing P&L/General management, sales/marketing, and various operational roles.
Greg has expertise in the areas of natural gas and electricity commodities, retail energy pricing, deregulation, retail market fundamentals and forecasting. Greg has direct experience working with large complex natural gas and electric accounts.
Greg holds a B.S. in Commerce and Engineering from Drexel University.
Lisa brings extensive energy procurement, utility account management, and sustainability consultative experience to Usource. She has been working in the energy industry in New England and the Mid-Atlantic market areas for over a decade.
Lisa started her career in sustainability over 25 years ago in the metro DC area. She specializes in energy management and sustainability in the commercial real estate sector. Lisa is a Fitwel Ambassador and is a member of the Massachusetts Apartment Association and a member of their Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee.
She is a graduate of the School of Business at Marymount University.
Trish has over twenty years of experience in the energy field. She has an established track record in national account business development and is committed to delivering an exceptional experience to all clients.
Prior to joining the team, Trish worked in sales leadership roles with Alvarez and Marsal, EnergyEdge, Edison Energy, and Acclaim. Trish always looks for the most effective strategies for participating in the energy transition, while maximizing cost effectiveness and minimizing risks.
She has a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Arkansas.
Karen joined Usource in 2014. Her primary mission is to assess commercial clients’ business needs, analyze their energy usage, and help navigate them through the complex and competitive energy market.
Karen comes to us with a diverse sales and marketing background, ranging from finance to transportation to real estate.
Karen received a BA from Washington and Jefferson College.
Wiley has more than 8 years of experience in energy software, pricing and M&A. For the past five years, Wiley has built quantitative risk models for wind, solar, storage and hydrogen projects.
As a Principal Data Scientist, Wiley works with subject matter experts at Usource to deliver analytics and recommendations to customers.
Wiley has a BS in Mathematics from Purdue University.
Adeel is a seasoned Senior Engineer with over a decade of experience spanning project management, business development, engineering design, and sales, catering to both commercial and industrial clienteles.
Holding a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master's in Energy Engineering from University of Illinois at Chicago, he brings to the table a robust blend of technical prowess and business acumen.
Adeel's comprehensive skill set and academic background equip him to navigate complexities across various domains, particularly within the commercial and industrial sectors.
Lindsay Irving is a career energy industry professional with seven years of experience in renewables and clean energy consulting, excelling in both sales and client-facing roles.
She has successfully supported a diverse portfolio of large commercial and industrial customers and universities in achieving their renewable energy goals. Passionate about sustainability, Lindsay is dedicated to helping individuals and businesses navigate the transition to cleaner energy solutions.
She holds a BA from Northeastern University and an MBA from the University of Virginia.
Todd has over 25 years of sales, marketing, and business development experience working with both public and privately held corporations. He held the position of Director, Business Development - National Account Sales, N. A. for a Fortune 100 energy and logistics corporation prior to joining the team.
His ability to build C-Level relationships through personal contact, communications and presentations has been an essential key to his success. Todd is an eight-year veteran of the National Football League which provided him the foundation of his expertise specific to his leadership, team building, and performance-based sales skills.
Todd received his B.S. in Economics from Arizona State and co-authored Pigskin Dreams: The People, Places and Events that Forged the Character of the NFL’s Greatest Players.
Tim has over 37 years of experience as an electrical engineer with the last 14 plus years spent as an energy engineer for the following NEXtera Energy Companies: FPLES/FPLS/Gexa Energy Solutions and NextEra Energy Solutions.
Tim has his BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas.

Dave joined the team in 2005, and with almost 20 years of experience, he brings extensive gas and electric account management and consultative experience to his clients.
Dave develops energy procurement and management strategies for mid to large-size commercial and industrial consumers of electricity and natural gas throughout the US, with a focus in PA and OH. He also helps brings solutions for Renewables, Carbon Reduction and Energy Efficiency .
Dave helps lead an effective, professional team in developing and implementing energy management plans consistent with client goals and objectives.
Chris is a Senior Project Manager with the Clean Energy Consulting team where he helps advise companies on their decarbonization strategy.
Chris has also worked previously on NextEra Energy's M&A team where he focused on new and emerging technologies in difficult to decarbonize sectors of the economy.
Chris is a graduate of the Erb Institute at the University of Michigan where he received an MBA from the Ross School of Business and an MS from the School of Environment and Sustainability. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College.
Tammy joined the team in 2012. Her primary duties include providing energy savings information to potential clients, as well as managing her existing clients’ electric contract needs.
She is also responsible for monitoring market trends and contacting local businesses to provide information on reducing energy costs.
Tammy holds a BA in Specialized Sales and Marketing Operations from Clarion University of Pennsylvania.
Jeny consults and advises commercial customers on various renewable solutions, primarily solar. She evaluates quantitative and qualitative customer impacts including on load and economics before and after implementing renewables solutions and provides valuable analysis on the results.
Previously, she worked in operations and analytics for a solar financial services company where her primary role centered around analyzing data and improving functions.
Jeny graduated from Columbia University and earned her MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Michael Perry has been in the energy industry since 1990. Beginning at a nuclear power plant, his employment experience includes Commonwealth Edison, Nicor, Industrial Electric Engineering Corporation, and running his own energy-based business.
Michael’s diverse professional experience includes the design and installation of energy projects such as Cogeneration systems, Stand-by Generators, Wind, Power, Solar generation, and Boilers. Michael has strong expertise in utility rates and tariffs, electric deregulation, green power, lighting, and a multitude of energy and rate analyses.
He also has experience in energy purchasing, energy modeling, capacity tariffs, and transmission tariffs. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a MBA from DePaul University.
Jesse works with clients to help them meet their sustainability goals while reducing expenses and generating revenue through community solar, land leases, and distributed generation resources.
He provides clients with analytically based insight and actionable information to reduce overall energy costs and improve performance. Prior to joining Usource, Jesse worked as a consultant performing evaluations of federal and state-run energy efficiency programs by analyzing survey data, conducting market research, and drafting reports.
Jesse holds a MA in Energy & Environmental Analysis from Boston University, a BS from the Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources of the University of Vermont.
Liam has five years of experience in electricity, natural gas, and renewable markets across the United States. He works with new and existing customers to develop and execute complex energy strategies.
He works in all deregulated markets with an emphasis on sustainability solutions. Before his current role, he worked on the inside team to communicate directly with energy suppliers and support his colleagues with market data and expertise.
Liam is a graduate of Colby College where he received a BA in Economics and Environmental Policy.
Nick has 37 years of experience working in the utility, energy, and industrial industries.
He has vast experience in working directly with and in managing large organizations that work with governmental, educational, healthcare, commercial, and industrial customers, as well as in the area of natural gas and electricity commodities, cogeneration, heating and process applications, and lighting retrofits.
Nick holds a B.S. in Management from Eastern Illinois University.
Part of the NextEra Energy family since 2007, Josh helps commercial customers navigate power markets, negotiate supply contracts, and develop sustainability plans.
With more than six years of experience at NextEra Energy Resources, he has worked with commercial and industrial clients at the intersection of retail power and demand response. Josh has a strong background in product development and demand-side management, previously holding roles such as Product Development Manager and Sr. Product Manager.
His extensive experience in sales and relationship management further enhances his ability to drive success in the energy sector. Josh holds a BA in History from Taylor University.
Holly is an Associate Energy & Renewables Consultant that was originally recruited through Usource’s Talent Development program for outstanding, up-and-coming energy professionals.
Holly currently works with senior consultants to provide clients with effective solutions to meet their sustainability goals and meet their energy and business strategy needs.
She is a graduate of Chatham University with a BS in Sustainability.
Niki has been working in the deregulated energy market since 2008. Prior to joining the team, Niki worked at FirstEnergy.
Her goal is to be a responsive, knowledgeable partner who can help clients better understand the energy market, deliver savings and price certainty, and maximize energy efficiency. She identifies creative ways her clients can increase revenues and reduce carbon emissions through their energy strategy.
Niki is a Certified Energy Professional, CEP, and she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Phoenix.
